Community Groups and the 2009 Myer Christmas Parade

E-mail Print PDF

The 2008 Myer Christmas Parade was a safe and truly spectacular event attended by tens of thousands, and watched by hundreds of thousands via Channel Seven’s broadcast. A large part of its success was due to the involvement of quality performers from a wide variety of community and cultural groups.

Since its reincarnation in 2006 the Myer Christmas Parade has been dramatically improved year after year. The time has come to look to the future – planning has already commenced for this year’s parade, which will take place on 14th November and once again we are looking for expressions of interest from community groups. We look forward to raising the bar even further in 2009, with the help of some of Melbourne’s premier community and cultural performers.

The repsonse was fantastic and the community groups are all locked in and rehearsing their performances.  We're looking forward to a great event.
